Oh right, I see. As you follow my Medium profile, that will show comments that I ‘recommend’, if that’s any help. But yes, I think Medium is going after a slightly different experience than people are perhaps used to with normal blogs. It may take a bit of getting used to. Or you’ll simply use it in a way that best suits you.

I’d personally use the new site’s RSS feed and just click through directly to whatever takes your interest, and leave a response or not. Keep it simple.

Medium may add some kind of ‘response’ list eventually, which I can add to the homepage, so you can see recent activity there. But, again, that’s perhaps asking them to do what ‘old fashioned’ blogs have always done, and Medium’s doing something new — they don’t want publications bogged down with widgets, adverts, fancy menus, etc. It’s just about clear writing and swift interactions.
