I’ve been using the new Beta for a few weeks now and have changed my opinion. It’s horribly narrow and cramped on the desktop version and loses that spacious quality Medium always had. It also means publications aren’t distinct, and this has eroded over the years in general. I’d prefer a balance where users can write to the new format, but publications look and behave differently at the very least.
